Leeds Metropolitan University is one of the most popular universities in the UK and currently the sixth most applied to university in the country.
The university has around 27,000 students and 2,800 staff based across two contrasting campuses: the City Campus based in the heart of Leeds and the Headingley Campus a few miles outside of the city among woodland. The university has a vibrant, diverse culture with international students from over 100 countries around the globe.
Leeds Met's vision is to be acknowledged for its commitment to student success, innovation and enterprise, global reach, and strong local impact.
Under the leadership of Professor Susan Price, the university is celebrating a number of recent achievements including climbing the student survey rankings to achieve its best ever performance with overall satisfaction at 83%; opening three new research centres to provide a renewed focus on multidisciplinary research activity; and an encouraging employability record with 9 out of 10 students currently in work or further study six months after leaving Leeds Met.
The university continues to invest in award-winning learning environments and has recently opened new state of the art health facilities including biomedical science laboratories and a clinical skills suite, along with a new 550 seater sports arena, following a £100m redevelopment in the city centre.
